Eurofins strengthens its top leadership team – Dr. Benoit Adelus appointed Executive Vice President

Brussels/ Nantes, November 6, 2006

Eurofins is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Benoit Adelus, 48, as Group Executive Vice President and board member of Eurofins Scientific Service SA as of December 1, 2006.

His recognised experience in the pharmaceutical and diagnostic industry as well as his leadership qualities will be important assets for the development and the performance of our Group. Up to now Dr. Benoit Adelus was Executive Vice-President of bioMerieux, a leading player in the field of in vitro diagnostics (€ 1 billion turnover, 5,500 employees). In this function, Benoit Adelus has been responsible for the development of bioMerieux during the last 6 years and for its successful IPO in 2004.

Before that, he had leading positions in the pharmaceutical and biological industry, particularly in the USA and Latin America. Benoit Adelus holds a PhD in veterinary medicine and a diploma of the HEC – ISA business school.
