BUSINESS UNIT: Des Moines Corporate
PRIMARY OBJECTIVES:
Assist in Preparing In House bi-weekly payroll in a timely and accurate manner using Sage Software ABRA Program
Process all garnishments and follow up with necessary agencies
Ensure payroll checks are delivered to outside locations in a timely manner.
Maintain the vacation and sick accrual balances for all employees and notify the employees of accrual balances on a bi-weekly basis.
Assist in preparing various ad hoc reports for accounting and management.
Maintain records for all Family Medical Leave requests and track through the payroll system.
Submit multi -state and federal taxes for multi-tax entities on a bi weekly basis
Assist with quarterly and annual tax reconciliaton
Assist with quarterly tax filing including SUTA , FUTA and form 941.
Assist with year-end tax filing including annual reconciliation forms to states, form 940 and W-2 reporting.
Process employee expense reports through payroll system.
Report new hires to states within timlines
Submit Flexible Spending Account contributions to company administering FSA benefits on bi-weekly basis
Submit 401K contributions and employer match to 401K provider company on bi-weekly basis
Submit G/L reports to accounting department for each payroll
Assist with quarterly G/L account reconciliaton
Assist HR in carrying out Human Resources programs and procedures for all company employees.
Assit with benefits administration to include: open enrollment, eligibility enrollment, change reporting, invoices for payment, and communicating benefit information to employees.
Responsible for maintaining the employee personnel and benefit files.
Act as a liaison between Accounting and Human Resources in payment and tracking resolutions.
Provide excellent customer service skills when dealing with employees to include answering their questions accurately and in a timely manner as well as providing requested forms and/or information.
Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelors degree and 1-2 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Fluent in English is required
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:
Excellent interpersonal, and communication skills
Must be very organized, and detailed oriented
Responsive problem solver and action oriented.
