GEOGRAPHICAL REPORTING LOCATION:        Petaluma, California

WORKING LOCATION:          Petaluma, California

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Timely and accurate analysis of samples to meet customer commitments.  This includes, but is not limited to, sample preparation for sample analysis, data review and reduction, and providing data interpretation and opinion.

  • Ensure all regulatory procedures pertaining to sample testing are followed correctly, if they are in normal course of work.

  • Maintain neat and accurate record system; keep accurate records of work performed on a daily basis or as needed for quality control.

  • Perform chemical analysis on client samples using gas chromatography (GC), high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), as well as other techniques as appropriate.

  • Interact with prospects in order to define their problems and issue appropriate quotes and proposals.

  • Interact with clients to assure that they are kept informed and their needs are met.

  • Plan resource allocation so that project deadlines are met.

  • Assist laboratory staff in making sure that analytical work done under cGMP and GLP meets requirements.

  • Create and review reports.

  • Create and review literature for marketing new methods and instrument capabilities to clients.

  • Follow all Eurofins Scientific, Inc. guidelines and procedures.

  • Remain current on technical, industry, and business advancements and trends as suggested by Manager.

  • Maintain a perpetual state of readiness and willingness to respond to the queries and needs of clients, staff, and coworkers.

  • Promote the company image through the exercising of sound and ethical business practices as related to the public and our customers.

  • Responsible for adhering to all pertinent company health, safety, and environmental regulations.

  • Other duties as assigned.

DUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry and 1-3 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.  Laboratory setting that involves glassware, hazardous chemicals, and others working in close proximity.
