Food Safety Auditor/SQF Auditor
REPORTING TO:
Eurofins Food Safety Systems Audit Operations Manager
GEOGRAPHICAL
REPORTING LOCATION:
Jacksonville, FL
WORKING LOCATION:
Home Based Position throughout the US with 50-75% travel required
OVERALL OBJECTIVES:
To conduct third party food safety audits and third party food safety certification audits
MAIN ASSIGNMENTS:
To conduct third party SQF 1000 and /or SQF 2000 certification audits
SPECIFIC ASSIGNMENTS:
-Schedule and execute SQF certification audits
-Manage Corrective Actions in conjunction with supplier in order to close out audits to grant certification
-Follow Eurofins Certification Standard Operating Procedures
-Follow reporting requirements
-Maintain auditor standing with audit scheme owners
OTHER ASSIGNMENTS:
Execute other audits as requested or needed such as Second Party Food Safety Audits, Third Party (Eurofins) Food Safety Audits, and other GFSI benchmarked audits as needed to meet clients’ demand.
PERFORMANCE APPRAISAL CRITERIA:
Quality/content of written reports, adhering to reporting turn around times, adheres to corrective action close out requirements, maintaining good auditor standing and current registration requirements. Adhering to Eurofins policies.
REQUIRED PROFILE
Personal Qualities/Profile:
Ability to work independently and efficiently
Excellent verbal communication skills
Excellent technical writing ability
Works well under pressure and handles adverse situations
Problem solving ability
Initial Education Background:
BS degree in food related or bioscience discipline
Additional Education Background:
HACCP Training with certificate issued (16 hours, 2 days)
Auditor Training with certificate issued (40 hours, 5 days)
Training in specific audit scheme with certificate issued (SQF, BRC, etc..)
Meet requirements of SQF registered auditor
Languages:
English speaking and writing is a must, fluency in other languages welcomed.
Type and duration of previous experience:
-4-5 years experience in a position with Food Safety Responsibility-At least 5 years experience in food safety auditing of commercial manufacturing operations
-In-depth knowledge of food manufacturing and process control
Specific skills required in terms of:
Technical knowledge:
-Working knowledge of HACCP
-Knowledge of regulatory agency requirements for the processing of consumer food products
-Working knowledge of required auditing standards
-Working knowledge of regulatory requirements for consumer product labeling desired.
Management capabilities:

Proficient with the use of Microsoft Office and Quickfire
Driving License: Valid state issued driver’s license required, Passport desired.
