Job Title: Junior Web Developer
Job Description:
As the Junior Web Developer, the employee is responsible for maintenance and improvements to the company’s .NET-based e-commerce site, with opportunities to expand into additional areas of e-commerce marketing or application development.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan, design, develop, debug, and create web-based applications and services.
- Modify or troubleshoot existing web site issues, for new requirements or improvements in performance or navigation.
- Work in a team environment, using shared code and source control
- Work with a content management system (Umbraco) for website content
- Implement Electronic Campaigns: Create e-mails (HTML) and other electronic promotional materials; Prepare external e-mails as per vendor requirements; Create banners for internal and third party campaigns.
Skills & Requirements:
- 1+ years of object-oriented .NET development using MS Visual Studio (C# or VB.NET)
- Experience with of web design, HTML, and CSS
- Experience with MSSQL or other RDBMS
- Good object-oriented design skills, strong analytical and problem solving skills, and able to work individually and as part of a team
- Quality-oriented
- Experience with any of the following is a plus: Javascript, AJAX, XML, ASP.NET, Adobe Creative Suite, Flash, and TFS or source control systems
Education and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field recommended
