Accounts Receivable Specialist

Description
The Accounts Receivable Specialist’s role is to support Eurofins with cash collection and our customers with post-invoice and statement inquiries where necessary. The Accounts Receivable Specialist will interface with our external clients as well as our internal Customer Support and Sales Staff. The Accounts Receivable Specialist will handle an assigned customer region or regions for collection and account reconciliation. Customer contact will be either via telephone or email. The Accounts Receivable Specialist will also hold other internal responsibilities for accounting functions or serve as a backup for these tasks. The goal of the Accounts Receivable team is to ensure positive cash flow while maintaining our customer relationships, making recommendations where appropriate to reduce risk.
Responsibilities May Include:
- Account reconciliation including payment posting
- Actively pursuing overdue collections in assigned region(s)
- Manage customer telephone and email financial account inquiries
- Issue credit authorizations and/or credit card payments
- Create and monitor rebate activity
- Create and/or update internal reports to aid in collections, tax remission, revenue summary, etc.
- Issue credits and re-invoices where appropriate
- Reconcile EVO and other prepaid accounts
- Generate and mail invoices to customers
- Monitor and maintain customer tax status including exemption certificates
- Process expense reports and other Accounts Payable support where needed
Requirements:
- Formal training in Accounting, (preferably B.S./B.A. in Accounting or Finance)
- 2 to 3 years’ experience in Accounts Receivable, including collections
- 1 to 5 years’ experience at corporation with large numbers of customers and high volumes of invoicing
- 1 to 5 years working with financial systems and strong user skills in Excel
- Must possess excellent time management, as well as organizational and interpersonal skills
- Must be able to work on a team as well as have independent responsibility for key items were assigned
