Description
We are looking for a Web Developer to support our local IT team in Huntsville (AL). You will maintain and build new functionality to our e-commerce and business-to-business solutions. As part of the global Eurofins One-IT initiative you will communicate with other team members in Europe and Asia and help to integrate new systems into the existing IT landscape.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Take over ownership and maintenance of the existing Operon ASP.NET and business-to-business solutions. The sites are written in VB.NET and use a Microsoft SQL Server 2005 and 2008 databases
- Support and maintain libraries written in C#
- Design and implement new features and ensure excellent code, standards and documentation
- Collaborating with other software engineering resources in designing and implementing integrated, enterprise solutions
- Ability to integrate new systems into the existing landscape and participate in global development teams
- Communicate effectively to co-workers and customers
- Works with operations and IT teams to help support the releases the website into production.
- Works with business and customers to understand complex business functionality
Requirements
- 2+ years of .NET development using Microsoft Visual Studio (C# or VB.NET)
- 1+ years of experience with ASP.NET development
- Knowledge of web design, HTML and CSS a plus
- Experience in relational database design and implementation a plus
- The successful candidate will have a pro-active, self-motivated, get-it-done attitude; a desire to learn in new areas; and the discipline to pay attention to deadlines, details and quality.
- Proven hands-on technical skills with a can-do attitude and ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment.
- The ability to think analytically and troubleshoot complex problems is essential.
Additional Qualifications
- BSc in Computer Science or a related field is recommended but not required
