Our most valued resource at Eurofins Air Toxics is our people. The laboratory is staffed with degreed scientists experienced in the environmental laboratory industry. Chemists undergo an extensive training program on the specific requirements of vapor-phase analytical techniques under the direction and mentoring of senior staff.
Investment in Media
In 1989, Eurofins Air Toxics began with 24 canisters. Now, with over 4,000 canisters, we maintain one of the largest canister inventories of any laboratory in the United States. Every year, we purchase hundreds of new canisters and flow controllers, and budget significant dollars in the maintenance of this inventory. In addition to our canister inventory, we maintain a large inventory of sorbent media including a variety of thermal desorption tubes, passive sorbent samplers, and PUF/XAD cartridges.
Investment in Instrumentation
Eurofins Air Toxics has outfitted the laboratory with state-of-the-are instrumentation and equipment, which has been optimized in order to enhance performance and reliability. In addition, our expert staff has designed and built innovative equipment to address laboratory processing challenges and meet unique project needs. Our investment in instrumentation means that we have the redundancy and capacity to effectively process a large number of samples and achieve the required report delivery timelines.
Eurofins Air Toxics supports numerous EPA methods described in the Compendium of Methods for the Determination of Toxic Organic Compounds in Ambient Air, commonly referred to as the “TO” methods. Additionally, we have implemented various ASTM methods in the laboratory. The following analyses are currently performed routinely at Eurofins Air Toxics. Special project requirements, including method development, may be accommodated upon request.
