Manufactured Gas Plant
Perimeter air monitoring is required to measure chemicals during the clean-up of former manufactured gas plant (MGP) sites released during soil of excavation and removal. The chemicals of concern are primarily BTEX and Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAHs) as well as Particulate Matter (PM). During the course of the remediation project, air monitoring is required continuously, generating a large number of EPA TO-15, TO-13A and PM10 filter samples. In addition to the conventional TO-15 method used to monitor BTEX, Eurofins Air Toxics can support ambient monitoring using passive sorbent samplers and EPA 325.
Eurofins Air Toxics has supported over 100 MGP monitoring projects and maintains a large media inventory to consistently supply the field team with required equipment. Each canister and flow controller goes through multiple quality checks to ensure the media is properly functioning before leaving the laboratory. Our operational capacity and quality systems ensure that the project objectives are consistently met throughout the entire program.
