The following test parameters are required for compliance with the NJ PWTA:

Microbiology

  • Total Coliform
  • Fecal Coliform/E.coli (Required for samples testing positive for Total Coliform)

Inorganics & Metals

  • Nitrate
  • Iron
  • Manganese
  • Lead
  • Arsenic*
  • Mercury**
  • pH (Field Test)
  • Gross Alpha (Radiological - Subcontracted)***

* Required Testing in Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Hunterdon, Mercer, Middlesex, Morris, Passaic, Somerset, Sussex, Union and Warren Counties. 
** Required Testing in Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester, Monmouth, Ocean and Salem Counties. 
*** Required Testing in Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester, Hunterdon, Mercer, Middlesex, Monmouth, Ocean and Salem Counties.
