Anna Egland is the Lab Manager of the Seed Health department at Eurofins STA’s California facility and also oversees the Bacterial Fruit Blotch program at that facility. Anna has over ten years of experience in seed testing in various programs including Bacteriology, Virology, Mycology and Bacterial Fruit Blotch. Anna leads a team of very dedicated, talented and resourceful individuals which is vital to the success of the Seed Health department. Prior to joining Eurofins STA, Anna graduated From UC Santa Cruz with a BA in Biology. Part of Anna’s experience in seed health testing comes from having worked with two different vegetable seed companies in their QA or R&D departments. This has given her unique insight into the need for high quality seed health testing from the perspective of both the seed company and the commercial seed health testing company.
