At Eurofins STA, our high throughput IEF laboratory makes protein analysis for hybrid purity a cost effective way to ensure the quality of your hybrid seed product. The different proteins in the seed or plant can serve as an identifying fingerprint for many vegetable and agronomic crops (see reverse) and IEF allows us to separate proteins to differentiate hybrid seed from inbred seed or in some cases, genetic contamination. After the proteins are separated color-producing chemical reactions result in visible bands that can be evaluated very quickly. |  |
