Eurofins STA Laboratories offers confidential, accurate, and timely diagnostic services that can help improve your product and ensure a stable and healthy agricultural industry.

Eurofins STA Seed Quality offers a wide range of seed quality testing services including:

• Seed health testing for the detection of seed borne pathogens. Two laboratories are NSHS accredited and USDA-APHIS inspected for international sample shipments.
• Our bacterial fruit blotch testing program combines the industry standard grow out testing with DNA technologies such as polymerase chain reaction (PCR)
• Seed analysis utilizes standard AOSA, ISTA, and Canadian protocols for germination and physical purity tests.
• We offer vigor tests such as accelerated aging and Seedling Vigor Imaging (SVIS), or more customized ones to suit your needs.

Eurofins STA Plant Health Services also provides Custom Disease Testing and Diagnostics - disease detection of plant pathogens in vegetable, flower, and fruit crops.

California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA) Code requires that the box containing samples should be clearly marked with the following information:

1. The name and address of the shipper or owner
2. The name and address of the person to whom the shipment is sent
3. The name of the country, state, county, or territory where the plants were grown
4. A statement of the contents  

To facilitate the process and for your convenience, we have prepared ready-to-use shipping labels with our mailing address, permit numbers and a section to indicate in which county and state the samples were collected.  Simply print (Avery 5264) and affix the shipping label to the box containing samples, and we will take care of the rest.

Our California lab offers Disease Resistance Screening (DRS) to accurately assess your cultivars for specific disease resistance genes in temperature and humidity controlled greenhouses and growth chambers.

Eurofins STA Genetic Services Division is designed to provide a wide range of tests for the agricultural community. We are comprised of two laboratories, a DNA Lab and an IEF (Iso-electric Focusing) Lab both having state-of-the-art equipment and highly skilled employees.

• The IEF Lab provides protein evaluation for Hybrid Purity and Varietal Identification for Seed Lot Quality
• The DNA Lab is a full service laboratory providing Molecular Markers for Plant Breeding support and Hybrid Purity and Varietal Identification for Seed Lot Quality

Eurofins STA is the only authorized US-based distributor of BIOREBA AG reagents and equipment, used to detect more than 70 plant pathogens in laboratory-scale ELISA operations.
