Biotech Enhancements at Columbia, MO
As part of our efforts toward continual improvement, Eurofins BioPharma Product Testing network of laboratories recently made several enhancements to the Biotech laboratory spaces at our Columbia, MO facility, including:
Upgraded Biochemistry Lab to Biosafety Level 2
The Biochemistry lab was upgraded to a BSL2 lab status to allow for containment and handling of additional sample types and hazard levels.
Newly designed PCR Labs
The new design of the PCR testing area now has designated spaces for Sample Prep, PCR Prep and PCR analysis that will allow a better flow of samples and reduce the potential for contamination.
New designated Aliquoting Room
The new PCR lab design \allows for space designated for aliquoting materials for biotech projects.
Isolated ICP-MS Lab
The ICP-MS lab is now isolated and includes HEPA filtered enclosures to reduce potential for contamination when analyzing at low levels.
New Category 5 Handling Lab
Our new Category 5 laboratory is built to withstand the highly toxic nature of highly potent compounds and ensure the safety of those who work with them.
