Kevin Barfield, MT(AMT) President VRL-Eurofins
Kevin has more than 20 years of progressively responsible experience leading companies through start-up, turnaround and growth modes.His understanding of the laboratory industry encompasses operations, business development, marketing, customer service, logistics, direct sales, and quality and regulatory compliance.Among his significant previous positions, Kevin served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Laboratories at Bonfils, a Denver based reference laboratory performing donor eligibility testing for the transplant community. Kevin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Sciences and Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Marketing. He is also a registered Medical Technologist, receiving his training from the United States Air Force and Midwestern University.
Sara Dionne, PhD, D(ABHI) Vice President of Laboratory Operations VRL-Eurofins
Sara Dionne serves as VRL-Eurofins Vice President of Operations. She received her Ph.D. in the field of Microbiology & Immunology and started her career as Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Arizona. Dr. Dionne has worked in the field of laboratory testing for HCT/Ps for over a decade specializing in Infectious Disease and Microbiology screening of donors and biological products. She provides customized consultations for VRL-Eurofins clinical partners and is responsible for operational oversight of all VRL laboratories nationwide. Dr. Dionne is credentialed through the American Board of Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics and also serves as the Director of the Immunogenetics Department.
Ronnie Aga, Vice President of Support Services VRL-Eurofins
Ronnie graduated in 1990 from University of North Texas with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Biology. Since graduation, he has spent his entire career in transplant laboratory medicine. During the last 27 years, Ronnie performed multiple testing assays, led the client services and specimen management departments, directed sales activities and managed the client supply and logistics support services.
Craig Thomsen,BS, CMQ/OE(ASQ), CQA(ASQ), CTBS Director Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance VRL-Eurofins
Craig has over 20 years’ experience in quality assurance, quality control and regulatory affairs. He has extensive knowledge and expertise in the application of GTP/GMP regulations, AATB and ISO standards, and quality management system requirements. He graduated from Ohio University with a BS in Zoology and a minor in Sociology. Craig is a Certified Tissue Bank Specialist, AATB Quality Council member, and AATB Accreditation Committee member. He is a Certified Manager of Quality/Organization Excellence (ASQ-CQM/OE), Certified Quality Auditor (ASQ-CQA) and an American Society for Quality (ASQ) member.
Rosemary Brancanto, Director Finance VRL-Eurofins
Rosemary Brancato, MBA, Director of Finance – Graduated in 1996 with a BA in Accounting from Roosevelt University and in 2019 graduated with an executive MBA from Arizona State University. Prior to joining VRL-Eurofins Rose spent 18 years in the food distribution and manufacturing industry in various accounting, finance and operation roles. Rose is responsible for managing Finance, Accounting and Purchasing departments.
