Brad Cahoon, West Regional Sales Manager, Eurofins Eaton Analytical
The visit followed an extended invitation by Dr. Andy Eaton to the congresswoman during this summer’s visit to Capitol Hill as part of the International Bottled Water Associations (IBWA) annual board of directors meeting.
During the laboratory visit Rep. Napolitano met with President, Bosco Ramirez; Client Services Manager, Linda Geddes; Chief Scientific Officer, William Lipps; Analytical Services Manager for bottled water, Kasey Raley; and myself. We delivered an overview presentation of our laboratory, information on the services we provide and business support we give to the 32nd District, then went for a lab tour. Rep. Napolitano engaged in a Q&A discussion for most of the meeting, and showed so much interest in our work that she stayed for an extra 45 minutes.
Our team covered the wide spectrum of the services we provide and described our role in the industry. She was pleased with how our work includes ensuring the integrity of information, as an unbiased third-party provider of data, which she uses in her legislative research. Rep. Napolitano appeared impressed with the professionalism and strong part we play in the topics that are close to her heart.
Bosco Ramirez presented an overview of our community contributions, which include a mentoring program with a local community college and small-business laboratory mentoring program; our local employment contribution and the revenue that we bring into the district from business across all 50 states, U.S. territories and 100 foreign countries.
Rep. Napolitano left with the request that we stay engaged in our work, and that she would look to us as a resource should she have questions in the future. Our team plans to visit her again in June 2019, when we return to Washington, D.C. for the next IBWA board of directors meeting.
