Basic Test Package for Natural Gas Engine Oil

Our Basic Test Package for NG oil is designed to determine and monitor: (1) lubricant properties, (2) contamination levels and (3) engine condition. This package is recommended for routine testing and analysis.

Extended Drain Test Package for NGE Oil

Maintenance programs for large NGE fleets typically call for changing the oil at regular intervals. If a primary objective of your oil analysis program is to maximize the useful life of the oil, however, we recommend our Extended Drain Test Package for natural gas engine oil.

This package is designed to determine the optimal interval for draining oil from your natural gas engine. It includes all of the tests in the Basic Test Package (above), plus Oxidation and Nitration, both determined through Fourier Transform Infrared (FT-IR spectrometry. Of course, this package also provides the same information (on lubricant properties, contamination levels and engine condition) as the Basic Test Package (above).

Preventive Maintenance Test Package for NGE Oil

Our Preventive Maintenance Test Package for NGE oil is designed to identify small problems in the engine before they become larger problems, and ultimately cause catastrophic failure. This package includes all of the tests in the Basic and Extended Drain Test Packages (above) plus Particulate Analysis. Depending on the situation, Particulate Analysis may consist of Particle Count (ISO 4406), Direct Read Ferrography (DRF), or both.

Predictive Maintenance Test Package for NGE Oil

Our Predictive Maintenance Test Package for NGE oil is designed to predict engine failures before they occur. These predictions are based on determining the root cause of previous engine failures and studying the trends that caused them. This package includes all of the tests in the Basic, Extended Drain and Predictive Maintenance Test Packages (above) plus Analytical Ferrography.
