NC agroscience base withstands Tornado
Our CGRF (Cedar Grove Research Facility), NC got hit by a tornado on Thursday 13th June in the evening.
This caused momentary concern for a study - just 3 hours before the bee hives were supposed to go into the tunnels, 9 out of 14 bee tunnels were ripped to shreds.
Even though station manager Paleta's home got severely damaged, he organized a meeting on Friday morning to discuss a recovery plan. A team of four: Sigrun, Lewis, Terry and Joel worked all day rebuilding tunnels so the bees could go in the tunnel on Friday evening and the study was kept on schedule. See a short video and a huge well done to Paleta and the team..
