Press Release: Dr. Cris Amarillas joins Eurofins as the Chief Scientific Officer of Botanicals

Eurofins is excited to announce that Dr. Cris Amarillas has joined the team as the Chief Science Officer, Botanicals. Cris’s role expands across the US Food Testing Labs, and she works alongside scientists from almost all business units, including microbiology, contaminants, supplements, and nutritional analysis. Cris first joined Eurofins as a consultant in October 2022 before accepting her current CSO role in August
Cris uses her unique combination of a scientific background, industry experiences, and connection to plants and herbal products to push the entire field towards improved product quality. She spent over a decade in the herbal product industry with roles in both R&D and Quality, including product formulation and development, managing a quality control laboratory, and, lastly, applying quality assurance to a global supply chain. Cris is a clinical herbalist, through in-depth training from the California School of Herbal
Cris lives in Northern California and enjoys gardening, adventuring in and on the ocean and being in nature. She is passionate about herbal medicine, dedicated to science, and committed to sustainable practices. She continues to be a regular guest lecturer at CSHS.
