Key Benefits for Using an Accelerated Shelf-Life Study

Sidebar Image

The number of days that a product remains stable at the recommended storage conditions is referred to as the products shelf-life. Shelf-Life is commonly estimated using two types of stability testing, real-time and accelerated. During an accelerated study, a product is stored at elevated stress conditions and the degradation at the recommended storage conditions can be predicted using known relationships between the acceleration factor and the degradation rate.

In this webinar, Guy Rimbey, Safety Officer-QC Specialist for Eurofins Nutrition Analysis Center, will explore the purposes of accelerated shelf-life testing, including: why to perform accelerated studies, how to set them up, and how to determine the ratio of real-time to accelerated storage.
