Implementing SQF Systems Training Course

The first step in your facility achieving SQF certification is to clearly understand the SQF Food Safety Code. This course prepares participants to meet the SQF Practitioner requirements as defined in the SQF Code.

Practical activities provide attendees with the opportunity to align their existing programs with the SQF Food Safety Code and build an environment where food safety is a top priority.

This course is valuable for individuals responsible for developing, aligning, verifying, maintaining, and otherwise supporting the site’s SQF food safety system and its culture of food safety which may include:

  • Quality Assurance staff
  • Plant/production managers and supervisors
  • Technical personnel
  • Regulatory personnel

  • Apply a HACCP-based approach to managing food safety hazards.
  • Understand the processes and steps necessary for site SQF certification.
  • Improve or align existing food safety programs to reflect the requirements of the SQF Food Safety Code.
  • Understand the interconnectedness of the SQF programs and how each contributes to an SQF system supported by a culture of food safety.
  • Outline actions to ensure the success of the SQF food safety system.

Course Requirements

Virtual Courses

Participants in all courses which are held virtually (live, instructor led) require an internet connection, computer (desktop or laptop), webcam, and microphone. You must be present via webcam (camera on) for the entire course to receive a certificate of completion. For the best course experience, we suggest you are in a place free from distractions and with a stable internet connection.

Face-to-Face/In-person Courses

Participants in all courses which are held in-person must be present for the entire course to receive a certificate of completion.
