Asbestos: Updates for the Suite of ASTM Dust Methods and Customer FAQ

Regulated asbestos minerals are routinely analyzed using various methods by USEPA, NIOSH, OSHA, ISO, and ASTM.  The matrices include air samples, bulk building materials, soil and geological sources, water, consumer products, and settled dust.  The ASTM Suite of Standards for Asbestos in Settled Dust have been the only analytical methods with published peer reviewed validation studies for this matrix.  Many publications and high-profile case studies have been examined since the 1990’s when these were first published.  This webinar will revisit some of the core concepts and objectives of these methods.  In addition, we will explore some deeper attributes and nuances associated with sample collection and laboratory procedures as well as address questions posed over the years from building engineers, asbestos consultants, and the environmental and occupational health and safety professionals.
