We provide a full range of freshwater and saltwater toxicity testing for compliance, research, and product evaluation, including:

All studies are conducted under strict QA/QC procedures following EPA-approved methods, supervised by degreed aquatic toxicologists, chemists, and biologists.

 

Organisms & Culturing

Reliable testing starts with healthy, well-maintained organisms. Our in-house culturing program produces over 15,000 organisms daily, ensuring availability and consistency for your testing needs.

Commonly tested species include:

  • Freshwater: Fathead Minnow (Pimephales promelas), Ceriodaphnia dubia, Daphnia pulex, Daphnia magna, Rainbow Trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss), Green algae (Selenastrum capricornutum/Raphidocelis subcapitata)
  • Saltwater/Estuarine: Mysid Shrimp (Americamysis bahia), Inland Silverside (Menidia beryllina), Purple Sea Urchin (Strongylocentrotus purpuratus), Collector Urchin (Tripnuestes gratilla)

We also have suppliers providing us access to a variety of other species to support specialized testing including Top Smelt, Bannerfin shiner (Cyprinella leedsi), Sand Dollar (Dendraster excentricus)
