The final version of EPA 1633A was released by the U.S. EPA on December 5, 2024 and published for public comment in the CFR as part of a Methods Update Rule on January 21, 2025. The public comment period closed on March 24, 2025. Although the method remains draft, EPA has long encouraged laboratories, regulatory authorities, and other interested parties to review and use the draft versions of this method. Eurofins’ labs are fully operational and ready to support the latest version of 1633A.

New Publication in Frontiers: Expansion of wastewater-based disease surveillance to improve health equity in California’s Central Valley: sequential shifts in case-to-wastewater and hospitalization-to-wastewater ratios

The American Chemical Society’s Environmental Science and Technology journal recently published a study, “A Self-Collection Blood Test for PFASs: Comparing Volumetric Micro-Samplers with a Traditional Serum Approach” which reports a test developed by Eurofins Environment Testing is a viable self-collection tool for assessing human exposure to PFAS.
