Eurofins Environment Testing laboratories in Sacramento, CA and Lancaster, PA announce that they have received accreditation for Draft EPA Method 1633 for the US Department of Defense under QSM 5.4 Table B-24 for all 40 PFAS compounds for water, solids and tissue matrices. These laboratories are some of the first commercial laboratories to receive this accreditation, further exemplifying the Eurofins network of laboratories as a leader in PFAS testing.

Eurofins Environment Testing adds Omicron variant detection capabilities to its commercially available SARS-CoV-2 test portfolio. The Omicron variant has been identified as a ‘variant of concern’ by the World Health Organization (WHO) due to the high number of mutations in the spike protein and indications of high transmissibility.

UCMR5 testing requires the monitoring of 30 contaminants including 29 PFAS compounds and Lithium. Eurofins Eaton Analytical has been analyzing PFAS for over 20 years, which includes the initial EPA PFAS data collection and analysis. In order to achieve this provisional approval, Eurofins Eaton Analytical has validated all three UCMR5 methods (537.1, 533 and 200.7), passed the EPA rigorous approval process, and successfully completed two rounds of proficiency testing.

Eurofins Environment Testing America has become the only commercial environmental laboratory to have the capability of reporting up to 75 PFAS target analytes, 70 from a single injection in potable and non-potable water. This achievement comes after increasing testing capacity in 2020 to meet the high demand of PFAS analysis, offering expedited turnaround times as short as 1 day.

In October 2020, the Eurofins Environment Testing laboratory in Knoxville, Tennessee, was awarded the "2020 Catalyst for Better" recognition from The Chemours Company, for accomplishments in "excellent PFAS technical innovation." Our Knoxville team has performed source air development work with help from chemists at the Chemours Fayetteville Works manufacturing site that elicited significant technical and financial benefits for Chemours.

“Independence Day,” was held on March 22, and the purpose of this special event was to advocate the importance of independent testing to our leaders in Congress and to their staff. There were 27 ACIL attendees who participated in 734 congressional meetings, in addition to meeting five members of Congress.
