UCMR5 - A Primer: What To Expect & The Impacts

On December 17, 2021, the United State Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) published the final Unregulated Contaminants Monitoring Rule 5 (UCMR5). This fifth UCMR will require monitoring of the drinking water entry points of public water systems across the nation for selected Per- and Poly-fluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) and Lithium. To assist our water system customer’s plan for a successful implementation of the UCMR5 requirements, we will project a detailed overview of the rule requirements, including key milestones, plus opportunities for efficiency and cost savings.

Topics the Presentation Will Cover Include:

  • UCMR Definitions
  • History of UCMR’s
  • PFAS & Lithium Methods, Analytical and Reporting Limits
  • Participating Water Systems
  • Field Sample Collection and Delivery Methods
  • Data Reviews and Approvals
  • Pricing Information Awareness
